It is learned from Zhejiang Quzhou CIQ on June 29th that a batch of salted sturgeon skin was exported to France. The value of the batch is 2000 Euro. It is China’s first batch of non-food fish skin exportation. The exported sturgeon skin will be made into purses and shoes and so on.
Sturgeon skin has a fairly big usable surface, with 5 rows of lamellae as well as numerous tiny scales. Leather of Siberian sturgeon: fine pattern of lamellae. Aside from the main pattern of the 5 row lamella, there are also dotted patterns of different sizes. The surface is fairly smooth.
Leather of hybrid sturgeon: clear and extinguished five row lamella pattern; back lamellae and side lamellae contrast and complement each other; surface between lamellae is smooth, clean, and tidy.
